Spurr Family - Cherry Blossom Mini Session in Daegu South Korea
I have been wanting to share this family’s cherry blossom session on the blog for SO long, y’all
Their gallery is without a doubt one of my most favorite sessions to date, and I don’t think it is hard to see why!
I emailed back and forth with a lot of my cherry blossom session clients for months before their session! Heather was especially worried about spring showers affecting their session but I assured her I would do everything I could to avoid any rain and get their date as close to peak bloom time as possible!
Between the quickly approaching threat of rain, the extra-early bloom time for the blossoms, and the completely unexpected day that Daegu’s Air Quality Index was the highest that it had been in SIX YEARS on what was supposed to be the first day of cherry blossom sessions (The AQI was at ‘Hazardous’ levels and recorded higher than 1000!), we had an increasingly small window of time to capture the BEST blooms.
After rescheduling and shifting around the days and times of almost all of my cherry blossom session families, we did it!!
I hope that I was able to capture the photos that each of these families were wanting, not only because I always want to give my clients the best, but also as a thank you for stepping out on a limb to book me even though I had limited family sessions in my portfolio at the time!
